Bobcat Awareness
As Contract Operator, we would like to share some information with you regarding bobcat sightings near the South End of the Project. Due to the desert location of the site, there can be a higher probability of an encounter with bobcats. In all cases, when you spot a bobcat, please stay clear and do not approach the animal. The Contract Operator quickly responds to remove them when sighted or reported. If you see a bobcat, please leave it alone and call either the Contract Operator Site Manager at 520-799-7802, or Site Security at 520-799-6666.

Snake Awareness
As Contract Operator, we would like to share some information with you for your consideration regarding snakes and snake-related injuries. Due to the desert location of the site, there is a higher probability of an encounter with snakes. In all cases, when you spot a snake, try to keep track of its location. The Contract Operator quickly responds to remove them when sighted or reported.
Considerations:
1. Watch where you step or reach. Snakes often hide from the sun when it is hot, and are difficult to see.
2. Be mindful of the footwear you choose if you are planning to be outside. Closed-toe shoes provide better protection than sandals.
3. As the temperature cools, snakes will be seeking concrete/asphalt surfaces in later hours to retain heat such as sidewalks, parking lots, and roads.
4. Leave Them Alone and call the Contract Operator Site Manager or Site Security at 520-799-6666.
First Aid Tips:
1. Indications for anti-venom treatment are based on the injury, not the snake species.
a. Do not try to capture or identify the snake, it is not necessary and often causes more injury.
b. Although there are 17 different types of rattlesnakes in AZ, there is only one anti-venom medication. Type of snake does not matter!
2. Do NOT ice or apply restrictive dressings/tourniquets.
3. Do NOT delay care and contact emergency help immediately.
4. Do remove constrictive items like shoes and jewelry at an injury.

Operational Updates
NEW - Potable Water System Backflow Testing
Please be advised:
Please be advised that Contract Operator will be conducting annual backflow preventer testing on Sunday, August 18th, from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
During this time, each building will experience a water service interruption of approximately 30-60 minutes while testing is completed.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we perform this essential maintenance.

NEW - Kolb Road Access
Please be advised:
Starting Monday, July 8th through Monday, July 29th there will be ongoing construction and maintenance along Science Park Drive (Kolb Access Road). Traffic control devices will be placed prior to the start date of the work. All site occupants shall expect delays when entering in either direction and should plan accordingly during the duration of this project.

Kolb Road Access Interruption
Please be advised:
On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, Kolb Road access in and out of the park will be interrupted from 4:30 am until 5:30 am to allow large cargo to be repositioned.
The contract Operator recommends anyone currently using this route to enter or exit the park during this time frame to please consider using the North and South Rita Road entrances and exits as an alternate route or expect delays. Please plan accordingly.

Possible 2 Hour Water Shut Off in Building 9070
Please be advised:
DCW backflow device leak repair and recertification for Building 9070 is purposed to take place Tuesday, 27 April 2021: Building 9070 - Work will begin at 2:00 AM and is expected to be completed no later than 4:00 AM.
While backflow device testing is being performed, the potable water supply to the building will be shut off.

UASTP Project Occupants

As part of regular electrical maintenance, Contract Operator will be performing a rescheduled outage in building 9062; this includes switching feeders to Buildings 9040, 9042, 9052, and 9060 per the schedule below. Switching feeders does not require a shutdown of any buildings but will require access to all substations.
- Apr 23, 2021/ AFTER 3:00 PM - Switch feeders over to B side of building main feeders (PB2)
- Apr 24, 2021 / Midday - Switch feeders over to A side of building main feeders (PA2)
- Apr 24, 2021 / Throughout the day – Finish; balance load to the site.

Tucson Electric Power (TEP) will be proactively replacing one of the two transformers that serve the Project at the UA Tech Park. The Project has a dual power feed from two TEP transformers that operate in parallel with each having the ability to provide power to the entire Project. The replacement is scheduled to begin on October 15 and be completed by November 15. Occupants should not be impacted by this maintenance work; however, the Project will not have redundant power during the maintenance activity.

NEW - Spine Maintenance

Contract Operator will be painting the Spine roof from October 19 until October 23. Work will begin at 6:00am and end at 5:00pm each day. Traffic flow will not be inhibited while work is being performed. However, please be mindful of workers and equipment in the area and obey all traffic signs.

Chilled Water Shutdown Repairs
The contract Operator will perform repairs on the chilled water system per the schedule below:
- September 11, 2020 (Friday) at 2:30 PM - Shut off the chilled water to building 9024.
- September 11, 2020 - Work in the cross spine will not completely block the access to the west exit doors.
- September 12, 2020 (Saturday) - Work in the cross spine will completely block the access to the west exit doors. Please plan to park accordingly. Parking in lots 9 & 10 will require walking around 9032/9024 to enter and exit the cross spine.
- September 12, 2020 - It is anticipated water flow will be restored to 9024 before 8:00 PM.

Alpha Paging System Test

The Site Security Operations Center will be conducting a test of the incident paging system for the Project at the UASTP on Wednesday 08/26/2020 from 9:00 am – 9:30am. This test is conducted semiannually to confirm contact information. Occupants receiving pages are asked to please follow instructions on the test page so Site Security can confirm the information is being received correctly.

Backflow Device Testing for Buildings 9020 and 9030

Contract Operator (CO) will be conducting DCW backflow device testing for Buildings 9020 and 9030 on Sunday, 12 July 2020. The proposed schedule is below.

• Building 9020 and 9030 - Work will begin at 7:00 AM and is expected to be completed no later than 12:00 PM

TEP Feeder Installation Update
Please be advised
TEP will be conducting offsite utility repairs on June 27th that is nonrelated to the Tech Park. However, the Tech Park will be required to switch to the C Feeder (C28) per the below schedule. Switching from the normal Feeders (C9 and C19) to the C28 does not require a shutdown of any buildings but will require load-shedding during this time.
Schedule
• June 27, 2020 / 9:00 PM Transfer loads to C28 via tiebreaker. Open C9 and C19 Mains. Begin offsite TEP repair work. Please note during this time all buildings will be on the new TEP feeder and there will not be a backup feed to the site.
• June 28, 2020 / 9:00 AM Estimated completion of offsite TEP work. Close C9 and C19 Mains. Transfer from C28 to normal operation on C9 and C19.
Also, as a part of the project, Contract Operator is requesting load-shedding/conservation from June 27th at approximately 8 pm to June 28th at approximately 9 am. This would include running the 9060 generators, supercooling occupied/in-use spaces, and reducing cooling loads for spaces that are non-occupied.
Contract Operator will advise with an Alpha Page when the switch process will begin on June 27th and when to resume normal operations on June 28th.

Tucson Electric Power Construction Advisory
Tucson Electric Power (TEP) will undertake major repairs in the area outside of The Project at the UA Tech Park starting 10:00 PM Saturday, June 20, 2020, to approximately 10:00 AM Sunday, June 21, 2020.
To minimize the potential service disruption to the site, the UA Tech Park in conjunction with the Contract Operator will be reducing the power load at the site as a precautionary measure.
This will include turning off lights, minimizing or turning off the HVAC altogether, and shutting off as much equipment as possible during this time frame.
Our team will be contacting each tenant to identify any potential risks associated with this maintenance time frame window and to make sure essential services and areas are not disrupted.
Please be advised that UA Tech Park is taking these actions to minimize, not eliminate the possibility of any disruption to the power while TEP conducts these repairs.

Building 9040 5 Year Electrical Building Shutdown
In support of the UA Tech Park's continuous electrical system maintenance, Building 9040 is scheduled for a complete shutdown on Saturday, October 10, 2020, for its 5-year Shutdown. During this time power for Building 9040 will be off for the duration of the shutdown, therefore all systems will be down. Occupants should prepare now so that in October all equipment is protected during the shutdown.
Every effort will be made to complete the work as scheduled, however, unsafe weather conditions or other unforeseen emergencies may require rescheduling. In such case, this will be communicated as early as possible.
Building 9070 North Entrance Landscape Improvements
As part of the programmed road maintenance for the UA Tech Park, Contract Operator will be repairing the asphalt in Parking Lot 8, Parking Lot 9, and the North East Ring Road intermittently during the month of May. Please see the schedule below.

Cross Spine Maintenance
Beginning Thursday, April 23, 2020, at 5:00 PM until Monday, April 27, 2020, at 5:00 AM Contract Operator will be restriping and resealing the cross-spine. In addition, crosswalks will be added from 9032 (south side of the cross spine) at the doorways to the designated walkway along 9022 (the north side). To accomplish this, the cross spine will be closed the entire duration, except for emergency exiting only, to allow for paint and sealant drying.
Work will be done per the following schedule:
- 4/23 Prep work - stripping and cleaning the floor after 5 pm
- 4/24 Cross Spine closed to all traffic at 3 pm
- NOTE: this also includes the entry points at the spine/cross spine intersection.
- 4/24 After 3 pm start painting the walkways and crosswalks – starting West to East.
- 4/26 Complete sealing of cross spine.
- 4/27 Open to normal traffic at 5 am.

Site Smoking Areas
The UA Tech Park is dedicated to ensuring a healthy environment for its Occupants and visitors. In support of this objective, and in compliance with the Smoke-Free Arizona Act, lit tobacco products (including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, etc.) are only permitted for use in designated smoking areas. Smoking is not permitted in any other Common Area, including but not limited to the Spine Walkway, the Cross Spine, and adjacent walkways.
Further, devices that simulate smoking through inhalation of vapor or aerosol (i.e. e-cigarettes, e-cigars, e-pipes, or vape pens, etc.) are only permitted in designated smoking areas and are prohibited from use in Common Areas, including but not limited to the Spine Walkway, the Cross Spine, and adjacent walkways.
NOTE: Parking Lots and Bus Stops are NOT designated smoking areas. Please inform your associates. Site Security will have a stronger presence in the area to monitor the non-smoking areas and direct non-compliant smokers to approved smoking areas. This policy applies to anything that can be smoked, including cigarettes, cigars, herbal cigarettes, and it also applies to electronic cigarettes (also known as e-cigarettes). Occupant support is greatly appreciated.

Employee Occupant Badge Display at the Project
Employees of Occupants at the Project are issued badges to access Occupant buildings and other areas of the Project (e.g. site gates). Employer and Site badges provide for proper recognition. Although not mandated, employees of Occupants are strongly encouraged to display badges while using Common Area. If security badges are not displayed, employees of Occupants must still be able to produce a badge to Security personnel if requested in order to verify their identity and business purpose at the Project. For everyone’s safety and to help us make sure that only authorized Occupants are using Common Area, we kindly request that you wear and display your badge at all times.

911 Protocol
Effective March 13, 2017, the Contract Operator will require all Occupants of the Project to use 911 when requesting emergency medical assistance, report a fire, requesting law enforcement, or reporting other emergency-related incidents (e.g. vehicle accident).
This change must be communicated accordingly to all employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors to ensure uniform compliance.
In addition, Campus Research Corporation is providing an updated Emergency Response Plan for the UA Tech Park to reflect these changes. (Please download the document here)

911 Emergency Line Conversion
All 911 cell phone and landline calls from UASTP property have been routed to designated off-site and on-site emergency personnel. This change allows on-site EMT's and Paramedics to respond to emergencies without delay.
The Contract Operator requires all Occupants of the Project and their employees to use 911 when:
Requesting emergency medical assistance
Reporting a fire
Requesting law enforcement
Reporting other emergency related incidents (e.g. vehicle accidents).
As you may know, the 911 number is the universal emergency request number in the United States. Many Project Occupants have already started to use the 911 emergency processes. As an Exhibit J Representative, it is important that Occupant personnel responsible for your company's emergency process and procedures, review their current operations and prepare to institute the new 911 call protocol in lieu of the 799-3911 emergency number. This change must be communicated accordingly to all employees of Occupants and their contractors, vendors, and visitors to ensure uniform compliance.
This memorandum is being issued to Exhibit J Reps in advance of the aforementioned Operations Advisory which will formally initiate the change. Exhibit J reps are encouraged to work with their personnel responsible for emergency processes and procedures so that all Occupant emergency processes will integrate with the upcoming site 911 protocol change.

Wildlife Protocol
On our desert site, wildlife including raccoons, javelina, ground squirrels, owls, and other animals can occasionally be seen. Periodically desert animals may take up brief residence here.
The Contract Operator works diligently to manage wildlife for the safety of Occupants. It is important to note that wildlife should not be interacted with and should not be given food.
There are numerous reasons for this. Four reasons are provided below:
> “People” food is not good for animals - Human food is not nutritious enough for animals and may cause health problems.
> Animals lose their natural fear of people -Feeding can make larger and potentially dangerous animals become comfortable in recreational settings. Animals can then become a nuisance and a safety risk.
> Feeding wildlife on-site places animals in close proximity to equipment -Electrical and mechanical equipment are prevalent; animals may be harmed as they search for food or habitat around this equipment.
