Development Principles
- Develop the Parks as integral components of The University of Arizona by locating strategic University facilities, cooperative programs, and initiatives within the Parks.
- Develop the Parks as world-class centers for research and development.
- Advance and accelerate technology innovation and commercialization in partnership with Tech Launch Arizona.
- Develop, operate, and maintain the Parks in an efficient and cost-effective manner with the goal of financial self-sufficiency.
- Develop the Parks in an environmentally sustainable manner that is sensitive to its Sonoran Desert environment.
- Develop the Parks in a manner that is compatible with and respectful of the community and adjacent neighborhoods.
- Engage the community and surrounding neighborhoods meaningfully in the life and work of the Parks, and link the Parks to the community’s cultural, social, and economic well-being.
- Develop the Park as centers for jobs and wealth creation.
- Design Parks for learning, collaboration, recreation, and living.
- Utilize a phased approach to development that is flexible and responsive to market conditions.
- Operate the Parks to the industry’s highest standards and in a manner that is competitive with the best research parks in North America.
- Operate the Parks to meet the needs and requirements of the tenants.
