Twenty Years of Success

This year Tech Parks Arizona celebrates 20 years of success in supporting UA innovation and contributing to the economic well-being of the region.

In recognition of this achievement, we’re kicking off a yearlong celebration of innovation, entrepreneurship, and the dynamic connections between the University of Arizona and its community – both local and global.

Synergy 2013-14: Tech Launch Arizona’s Strategic Plan

Tech Launch Arizona (TLA) has released Synergy 2013-14, its Strategic Plan focused on bringing research, innovation, and business together.

As a component of TLA, Tech Parks Arizona helps to achieve this goal by assisting technology companies in all phases of their development.


Global Advantage Takes Off

Global Advantage, a partnership of Tech Parks Arizona and The Offshore Group, helps technology companies succeed in a global economy.  The program connects international companies with UA expertise in technology development and commercialization as well as with manufacturing support services in Sonora, Mexico.

As part of the Global Advantage program, key leaders are planning a business development mission to foster ties between the Arizona/Sonora region and Israel’s thriving technology sector later this year.

 

Congratulations, AzCI Graduates!

Three new companies have graduated from the Arizona Center for Innovation (AzCI). Congratulations to technology startups, Dataware Ventures, Property Management EZ, and ViewSpection.

AzCI, a unit of Tech Parks Arizona, helps entrepreneurs transform their ideas into successful companies. It serves the University of Arizona faculty and researchers as well as community businesses in all phases of development.


New Traffic Signal

Tech Parks Arizona, in conjunction with the City of Tucson and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., recently completed the addition of a new traffic signal at Kolb Road and Science Park Drive. This project provides a significant upgrade to the traffic control and safety for the western entrance to the UA Tech Park and Vail Academy and High School.

Racing the Sun

Cheer as students from 9 high schools race the solar-powered go-karts they designed and built. Tech Parks Arizona is coordinating this annual event, now in its third year.
