Experiential Learning Opportunities

University students benefit from exceptional experiential learning opportunities here at the UA Tech Park, including internships that allow them to work alongside industry professionals and gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge technology fields. Opportunities range from working with innovative startups and learning what it takes to launch a business, to gaining insight into thriving industries like optics and photonics.  Many opportunities to can found online at Sign In | Handshake 

Vail Academy and High School (K-12)

Located within the Vail School District, one of Arizona’s top-performing districts, the UA Tech Park has fostered a longstanding partnership that drives innovation and education. This collaboration began when the Park hosted the district’s first charter high school and has since grown to include Vail Academy and High School (VAHS), an award-winning K-12 program situated on the UA Tech Park campus. Vail Academy and High School is a small Learning community that encourages high academic and social achievement.  VAHS has earned the AZ Education Foundation A+ Award of Excellence three times! Students experience science and technology in action through various programs, mentorships, and informal interactions. For example: The Boxer Bots, Vail Academy and High School's robotics team, are known for their innovative designs and competitive spirit, having achieved several notable successes over the years, including regional finalist positions and multiple team spirit awards. This robotics team allows students the opportunity to hone their STEM skills as well as their soft skills, preparing the students for the workforce.
