Management Structure
The UA Tech Park is owned by the Arizona Board of Regents and managed by Tech Parks Arizona with the support of Campus Research Corporation, a 501(c)3 corporation.
The University of Arizona’s senior leadership is closely involved in setting goals and providing direction for UA Tech Park. The President of the University of Arizona serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Park and the Associate Vice President for the Tech Parks Arizona, as the Park’s Chief Operating Officer.
IBM serves as Managing Operator for the UA Tech Park. The Managing Operator is responsible for implementing the Project Operation Agreement (POA), which governs certain activities within the common areas of the Park’s 297 original developed acres.
CH2M is the UA Tech Park’s Contract Operator. The company is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all common areas as well as the operation of the Park’s central utility plant.
Security
Park security is subcontracted through the Contract Operator, CH2M. We request that you notify security by calling (520) 799-7812 when your company or organization has a foreign national visiting on-site.
Entrances
The Park may be entered through any of its three gates (Main Rita Road, South Rita Road, and the Kolb Road Gate). Gates are open 24/7
The gate can be accessed via security intercom services.
Badging
Badge Protocol for Accessing the Buildings
When you hire a new employee, please notify all of the following people by email at least 24 hours before the employee’s first day of work:
- Contact Us at badging@uatechpark.org
In your email, please include:
- Employee’s name
- Employee’s deactivation date (if applicable)
- All access requirements for the employee
On their first day of work, your new employee will need to report to the Park Office located in Building 9070, Suite 3500, and sign for their badge
The Park Office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m.-4:00 p.m., excluding holidays.
It is your responsibility to inform the Park Office immediately when an employee has been terminated.
