Small Business Administration Road Tour Visits Tucson

Leaders from the Small Business Administration were in Tucson Monday for their “Road Tour.”

Tucson was part of a 16-city stop. The leaders of the SBA were in town to connect with entrepreneurs working on advanced technology.

About 200 people showed up at the event at the Tech Park at the University of Arizona. Carol Steward, the Associate Vice President of Tech Park, said it was a telling sign that the SBA chose Tucson for making a stop.

“I think it really leans into the break we have as one of the emerging communities. It really talks to what’s going on here and obviously we are getting noticed on a federal level and so it is really exciting,” Stewart said. “I believe we have one of the best showings.”

The agenda included one on one meeting with federal program managers, and entrepreneurial ecosystem networking mixed and much more. All of this will benefit the eventgoers, Stewart said.

“Hopefully the one on one, the networking, those contacts that they’ve taken away are really going to make a true difference.” Stewart said.
