Omar Jacobo serves as the Director of Facilities for Tech Parks Arizona, where he oversees the contract team responsible for managing the day-to-day facilities operations at the UA Tech Park.
With more than 25 years of experience in facilities management, Omar brings deep expertise across a variety of sectors including tech (government, etc)_ He is a certified facilities manager (CFM) and active in the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA). Prior to joining Tech Parks Arizona, Omar worked with Jacobs, where he led the Contract Operator team at the UA Tech Park and served as an area manager.
Omar’s foundation in leadership and operations is rooted in the United States Navy where he served for 8 years. His facilities management experience ranges from high tech and retail to government municipalities. He is also a LEED accredited professional (LEED AP) through the United States Green Building Council (USBC), demonstrating his commitment to sustainable building practices and energy efficiency.
Omar earned Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and completed a Facilities Management certificate program with distinction from the University of California, Berkely.
