Tucson Entrepreneurs Launch Venture Capital Fund Dedicated to UA 

UA Venture Capital, LLC has announced the launch of a new venture capital fund designed to support the commercialization of University of Arizona science, services and intellectual property. UAVC was formed by Fletcher McCusker, the business driver behind the UA College of Pharmacy startup SinfoniaRx, Inc.

Racing the Sun

More than 150 students and teachers from across Arizona gathered at the UA Tech Park to attend 12 introductory Racing the Sun workshops. Here, students learned how to start planning and designing their go-karts to race in the annual solar powered go-kart STEM competition known as Racing the Sun.

Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos

Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos (NPH) performed at the UA Tech Park filling the Innovation Plaza with the sweet sound of traditional El Salvadorian music. NPH USA arranges for student performers from a NPH home to travel to the United States for a Pequenos Tour.

Startup Pitch Presentation

Emagine Solutions Technology, a startup working with Arizona Center for Innovation, was selected from over 70 applicants to pitch their company. Six finalists have been chosen for the 2017 Get Started Arizona business pitch competition. Each startup will have three minutes to deliver their best pitch "Shark Tank" style to a panel of business experts to win $25,000 prize package. Get Started Arizona is hosted by COX Business and is part of IdeaFunding and TENWEST.

Building Luncheon

Tech Park employees enjoyed a BBQ lunch and games on the lawn as part of the quarterly "meet your neighbor building luncheon".  People from several companies including AAA, Ascensus, Dilas, Oracle, and Tech Parks Arizona were all mingling during the lunch hour.
