Eurofins CellTx Commences Lab Operations in The UA Tech Park at Rita Road

 Eurofins CellTx which provides comprehensive laboratory services to meet the unique testing and processing needs of the transplant community, has officially commenced operations at its new laboratory in Tucson. The 15,000-square-foot facility located at the University of Arizona Tech Park at Rita Road represents a $3 million capital investment, with a $14 million economic impact over the next five years.

Eurofins CellTx is a member of the Eurofins Transplant Diagnostics family of laboratories and part Eurofins Scientific, a leading international group of laboratories providing an unparalleled range of testing and support services to the pharmaceutical, food, environmental and consumer products industries and to governments. Eurofins Scientific is a worldwide leader in its field with 55,000 employees across 900 sites in 50 countries. Eurofins opened a new division in in the Transplant Diagnostics family of laboratories here in Tucson, Arizona known as CellTx to offer critical testing support for living donor tissues and cells. Eurofins new state-of-the-art facility can test samples within the day and will quickly become an integral part of Southern Arizona's thriving biotechnology ecosystem. Expedited processing turnaround time is fundamental to providing exceptional transplant experiences and outcomes.­­­­­­

UA Tech Park management provided the necessary support allowing Eurofins CellTx to scale rapidly and focus on their business while all their infrastructure and auxiliary business needs were met.  

 

International Economic Development Council Takes on Tucson

The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is coming to Tucson for the 2023 Leadership Summit January 29-31, to shape a new path into the future of economic development. The forward-looking conference will explore industry trends and the partnerships and strategies needed to grow, diversify, and retain companies in established and emerging industries. Tech Parks Arizona is proud to be a sponsor of the event and host of one of the supplementary tours, the “Driving Innovation Forward” Selfie tour. Arizona Photonics Days

Arizona Photonics Days will be at the UA Tech Park at Rita Road January 25-27, 2023. Hosted by the Arizona Technology Council (AZTC) and Optics Valley of Arizona, this three-day program will take place just before Photonics West 2023, focusing on the expanding scope of optics and photonics technologies in industrial and commercial applications in six areas: sensing and metrology, astronomy, laser technology, quantum information science, glass and ceramics, and biomedical technology. On the evening of January 26, Tech Parks Arizona will be hosting the Arizona Technology Council 2023 First Quarter VIP Tech Mixer. Marjorie "Marj" Rinaldo

Meet Marj Rinaldo, Facilities Plant Operator on the Jacobs Engineering team. She’s been working at the UA Tech Park for two years and is a Navy Veteran. In her role, she is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the site Central Utility Plant. Fun fact about Marj: she is a competitive bike rider and has won numerous races, including the 2022 Tucson Classic. Thanks for all you do to keep the park running, Marj!
