It was 2000 when B. Joseph Howell started serving the community as a program coordinator, working in an afterschool program for a small, minority serving high school. Since then Joseph has gained a deep passion to serve Tucson and create real and permanent change. Today, Joseph serves as VP Public Affairs & Communication with Citi. Joseph is a native of Tucson, leaving only for a short time to complete his B.S. in Hospitality from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff – the coldest 2 years of his life!  With a deep desire to serve our community, Joseph became a fundraiser in 2008 and worked to create a level playing field – ensuring that everyone receives equal opportunities for success. Joseph is the past president and secretary of the Tucson GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender) Chamber of Commerce. Joseph also serves on the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropic and Nonprofit Innovation’s Southern Arizona Advisory Council, and the UA LGBT Advisory Council. When he’s not working or volunteering you can find Joseph binging on Netflix or trying hard to make his friends laugh with terrible jokes.
