The UA Tech Park recently hosted The Vail Hackathon, a pre-coding challenge designed to empower K-8 students from the Vail School District to become future inventors and change-makers. Aligned with the United Nations' sustainable development goals, the event encouraged students to use design thinking and computational skills to develop innovative solutions for pressing global issues such as hunger, climate change, and pollution.
Participants had the opportunity to gain practical skills by presenting their projects to a panel of esteemed STEM industry judges. The hackathon underscored the importance of nurturing young talent and equipping them with the necessary tools and opportunities to become future leaders and innovators. The Vail Hackathon served not only as a competition but also as a celebration of young talent and a showcase of the potential future of innovation. Congratulations to all participants for their dedication and passion in striving to make a positive impact on the world.
