Business Growth Prompts RMC to Open Office in Arizona at the University of Arizona Tech Park
Tucson, AZ (February 28, 2023) – RMC Group has selected Tucson for its newest expansion location bringing new investment into Southern Arizona. RMC Group opened its new office at the University of Arizona (UA) Tech Park located at 9040 South Rita Road, Suite 2365, Tucson, AZ 85747, earlier this month. The new office allows RMC to better serve clients with their retirement planning needs along with offering insurance, risk management, and retirement solutions.
“I am very excited to be running our new office in Tucson,” said Tamara Middleton, RMC’s Vice President of Pension Operations. She continued, “This gives RMC an excellent opportunity to grow and establish a presence in the Western United States.” 
When the organization sought a location for their expansion, the UA Tech Park was a perfect fit because of the strong relationship with the University of Arizona. RMC Group is headquartered in Bonita Springs, Florida near the Florida Gulf Coast University and understands the value of being closely connected to the talented graduates and interns coming from a higher education institution. The RMC Group sought to replicate that strategic location advantage in Tucson with the University of Arizona. The UA Tech Park not only provides workforce connections but also turn-key ready business space, allowing RMC Group to establish the new office and begin operations almost immediately. Currently there are two full-time employees and a University of Arizona intern working in the new office. The RMC Group plans to expand the team by hiring three more full-time employees by the end of the year plus two more interns in the summer.
“Our team in Tucson will be working to expand our market in the retirement plan space through the use of our web-application PlanGen offered as a SAAS under PlanGenPro.com,” commented Middleton. “Our team will be responsible for sales, support, and testing of the application along with the design and operations of the retirement plans under RMC’s management. We know that being in the UA Tech Park will enable us to collaborate with other tech companies and startups in the UA Center for Innovation”.
The Arizona office is supporting RMC's pension clients in the west and is preparing to grow exponentially based on industry trends. The number of qualified retirement plans offered by employers nationwide are expected to dramatically increase due to the passing of Secure 2.0 in December 2022. Many states are beginning to mandate a state-run individual retirement account (IRA) such as California and Oregon. The RMC Group sought a location that would provide business-ready space so that the company has the ability to scale rapidly to meet growing demands.
