Tech Parks Arizona Expands Global Collaboration

Tech Parks Arizona joined the Arizona Commerce Authority's delegation of over 30 business, academic, and community leaders on a trade mission to Taiwan. The mission included meetings with Taiwan-based companies, a forum with over 120 attendees, and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster technology and workforce collaboration. The delegation toured three specialized science parks and met with academic and research partners to enhance bilateral investment and global competitiveness. University of Arizona Professor Krishna Muralidharan, professor of materials science and engineering, planetary sciences, and a professor at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, presented how the university drives advancements in semiconductors, microelectronics, quantum technologies, and photonic devices.

In 2003, Tech Parks Arizona established the University of Arizona Center for Innovation (UACI), a science and technology business incubator network headquartered at the UA Tech Park. UACI provides resources to accelerate startups and scale business operations. UACI has long served Arizona’s vibrant community of innovators and has experienced remarkable growth over the past few years, attracting an increasing number of clients and supporting 60 startups engaged in the program at any given time.
Since its inception, UACI has demonstrated its pivotal role in shaping the tech startup landscape and fueling the Arizona economy. UACI has supported 300 startups and over 1,000 entrepreneurs with the people, programs, and facilities needed to turn big ideas into market-ready solutions. Through its structured 28-point roadmap, UACI guides entrepreneurs through critical stages of development.
