Eurofins CellTx Joins UA Tech Park

Eurofins Donor Testing Services, which provides comprehensive laboratory services to meet the unique testing and processing needs of the transplant community, announced that it has selected the UA Tech Park in Tucson, Arizona for its new laboratory, Eurofins CellTx.

Eurofins is a global leader in testing and analytical services with an international network of more than 900 laboratories in over 50 countries. Eurofins CellTx will be FDA-registered for screening human cells, tissues, and cellular- and tissue-based products. CellTx is designed to provide critical testing support for cell and gene therapy-based products. The lab's comprehensive test menu will support these organizations from donor source to transplantable cell-based products.

The new Eurofins CellTX Inc location at the UA Tech Park will comprise approximately 15,000 square feet of laboratories and administrative offices and is anticipated to open in Q2, 2022. The full expansion over five years will add an additional 24 jobs to the Tucson facility, primarily laboratory technicians and managers. The total capital investment over the next five years will be approximately $3 million, resulting in a total economic impact of $14 million. The UA Tech Park provides the ideal infrastructure for Eurofins CellTX, the connection to the University of Arizona, and directly unites them with 80+ companies in a dynamic campus where emerging businesses and tech giants work side by side.

After5 Mixer at The Refinery

In collaboration with Arizona Tech Council, The Boyer Company and Tech Parks Arizona hosted an after5 mixer. Approximately 100 attendees got a first-hand look inside the UA Tech Park’s newest building The Refinery at the UA Tech Park at The Bridges. Officially opening in early 2022, this building will house small to mid-sized tech-focused businesses and University of Arizona organizations and serves as a centralized location that bridges resources and accelerates the most promising inventions.

Happy Native American Heritage Month

Let's celebrate Native American Heritage Month and take time to honor the contributions and culture of Native Americans. Supporting and advancing the Native American community is a year-round priority for the University of Arizona. The University acknowledges its location on the land and territories of Indigenous peoples noting that it resides on indigenous homelands of the Tohono O’odham and the Pascua Yaqui people and recognizes the 22 sovereign nations of Arizona.

UACI's Entrepreneurial Experience

For entrepreneurs, taking a great idea or invention from concept to market can feel overwhelming. Success requires the right guidance, equipment and support; and there are several pathways forward. Business incubators can provide the necessary support to foster innovation and the UACI is Arizona’s leading incubator with nearly two decades of successful outcomes.
