UACI Sponsored Launch Fueled by Perkins Coie LLP Winning Team Announced

UACI is pleased to announce that the winner of the UACI Sponsored Launch Program Fueled by Perkins Coie competition is Reparvi, a life science technology company with plans to leverage its technology in the development of a COVID-19 vaccine. Reparvi will receive a sponsored year admission at UACI, $4,000 and 10 hours of legal assistance from international law firm Perkins Coie LLP. 

 

Leader of University of Arizona Tech Parks Appointed to the Desert Angels Board of Directors 

Carol Stewart, Associate Vice President of Tech Parks Arizona for the University of Arizona, has been appointed a seat on the Desert Angels Board of Directors. Desert Angels™ is a Tucson-based private investors group formed in 2000 and has grown to become one of the country’s leading angel investor groups and most active in the nation. 


 

Welcome, Hipokratiz

UACI is thrilled to have University of Arizona licensed technology startup, Hipokratiz join the growing startup family and bring their innovation to the incubator. Hipokratiz was recently featured in the news for their work in decreasing patient no-shows, a costly reality the healthcare industry faces.

 

The American Made Challenge Advances, UACI Continues to Support

UACI would like to congratulate all Round 3 teams who advanced to the Go! phase of the American-Made Solar Prize Challenge. UACI directly supported 6 out of 10 of the winners. The Department of Energy and National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) also announced a new round, Round 4, of the American-Made Solar Prize Challenge.  

 

Clear Core Selected to Participate in National I-Corps Program

Tucson-based data FinTech firm Clear Core was selected by the National Science Foundation to participate in its National Innovation-Corps (I-Corp) Program and will receive a grant to aid in refining product-market fit. Clear Core is a resident of the University of Arizona’s Center for Innovation, and they use information technology to help businesses better organize and understand their data.

 

Arizona Innovation Challenge Information Session Coming Up

The Arizona Innovation Challenge is approaching. With an award of $150,000, automatic entry into ACA's mentor-led accelerator and the title of one of Arizona's most promising startups, there is a lot on the line. It is important to be adequately prepared. The Arizona Commerce Authority is offering an information session on July 21. Don't miss it. Reserve your spot at the virtual workshop.

 

UACI Graduate and Local Startup Addresses COVID-19 Challenges Related to Public Transportation

Metropia, a UACI graduate, is committed to rider safety and addressing public fears regarding contracting COVID-19 while in transit. Metropia has been evolving and adapting its GoEzy mobility app to regain traveler confidence and return to routine mass transit service.
