Applied Research Corporation Enters into New Teaming Agreement with Revolutionary Antenna Developer and UArizona Startup, FreeFall Aerospace, Inc.

FreeFall Aerospace, a graduate of the University of Arizona Center for Innovation incubation program, has revolutionized the cyber defense industry with its unique approach to antenna data collection. FreeFall Aerospace, a University of Arizona startup who worked with Tech Launch Arizona to commercialize their invention, has recently teamed up with the University of Arizona Applied Research Corporation to offer their intelligent antenna systems to federal government agencies starting with the United States Department of Defense. Emagine Solutions Technology Receives FDA Clearance for Mobile Ultrasound

Emagine Solutions Technology, an award-winning medical software device company and current UA Center for Innovation startup, announced that it has received clearance from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to market its VistaScan mobile ultrasound platform.  

 

Growing Global Starts Local 

The University of Arizona Center for Innovation provided international startups a chance to test their companies in the US market. Each company had the chance to build a vibrant network of community leaders, industry experts, potential American customers. The UA Center for Innovation was selected by the US Department of State to host the international startups because of its capacity and connections.

 

University of Arizona Commercialization Hub 

A groundbreaking ceremony for the first tech building at The UA Tech Park at The Bridges took place yesterday. It will be the epicenter of innovation with the entire University of Arizona innovation continuum under one roof. From concept to consumer, it will provide all the necessary resources creating a clear path from research to innovation to impact, with the University's support every step of the way. This innovation continuum will include the University of Arizona Applied Research Corp, Tech Launch Arizona, and the UA Center for Innovation.

 

Health Economics from a Payer's Perspective

The UA Center for Innovation collaborated with BIOSA and Tech Launch Arizona to bring an informative session to the life science, bio and medical startup community on February 25. The session featured Nic Anderson, Scientific Advisor to the Mountain Pacific Venture Fund, and showcased the new norms for medical technology commercialization success.

 

VR Classrooms, Data Management and More

The University of Arizona has made impressive strides in emerging technology showcased in the classroom. This article features different new technologies including University of Arizona Center for Innovation startup Clear Core and their technology in the data management industry. 

 

People of the Park: Natalie Wright

Natalie Wright, a Tucson native, is interning at the University of Arizona Center for Innovation. She holds a BS in Health Sciences, an MBA, and is currently working towards her BA in Management Info Systems at the University of Arizona. When asked why she chose to intern here, she explained that she likes the mission and vision of the incubator. And hopes that her passion for numbers and data organization, will help bring in more startups.

This day‐long, industry‐led STEM exploration event provides hands‐on, interactive activities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) for rising 9th through 12th grade girls.
