Tech Parks leader Carol Stewart was recently featured on TechFocus, the Arizona Tech Council's podcast. The monthly segments connect with transformative leaders to have real conversations about what’s happening in the tech sectors highlighting why Arizona is growing in prominence as a world-class tech hub. MPA Finalist

The Metropolitan Pima Alliance (MPA) held its 16th Annual Common Ground Awards Ceremony honoring community leaders, projects and programs that have made significant contributions toward bridging divides and finding solutions to complex challenges in creative ways. This year's event celebrated the Top 20 projects, 10 of which were winners and 10 were finalists, along with the Award of Distinction. We were acknowledged as a finalist for our work at The Refinery at the UA Tech Park at The Bridges.

Innovation Insight Shared Worldwide

Our leader, Carol Stewart had an opportunity to co-present research parks in action with leaders from across the world all the way from Africa to China. The presentation for IASP (International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation) is a worldwide network of science parks and innovation districts that connects hundreds of professionals together that have a passion for managing science, technology and research parks.

Greater Tucson Leadership

Greater Tucson Leadership held their first in-person class day at UA Tech Park earlier this month. The focus was on Justice and Public Safety in Southern Arizona and they heard from a broad span of professionals and learned perspectives from several individuals deeply connected and invested in this community. The day ended with a wonderful happy hour and engaging conversation. Tech Parks Arizona was proud to sponsor this event.

Tenant Spotlight: Vail Academy & High School

We salute Vail Academy & High School, located at the UA Tech Park, and its amazing graduating seniors who endured through quarantine, masks, remote learning, hybrid school, and then finally back to some bit of normalcy. Through this challenge, the seniors have thrived and been a shining example of resilience to our entire community. Congratulations to the class of 2021!

People of the Park: Amanda Buchanan

Meet the newest member of the Tech Parks Arizona team - Amanda Buchanan, Program Manager for University of Arizona Center for Innovation (UACI). In this role, Amanda Buchanan works on government contracts and programs to support startups in the cleantech space. Buchanan has an extensive background in program coordination, marketing and communications.
