Tech Parks Arizona creates dynamic research park communities that bring the expertise of the University of Arizona together with technology companies and entrepreneurs from across the region and around the world to create and commercialize leading edge innovations.

Tech Parks Arizona successfully held Racing the Sun, a high school solar go-kart race, for the third year. Utilizing STEM applications, students constructed a solar-powered vehicle and presented how they accomplished the challenge to a panel of judges. This year ten high school teams from Tucson and Phoenix participated in the program.

Tech Parks Arizona Wins Award for Educational Outreach

Tech Parks Arizona won the Metropolitan Education Commission's Crystal Apple Award for its efforts to encourage local youth to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Tech Parks Arizona has collaborated with area educators since its inception in 1994, and has been growing its educational outreach efforts steadily over the years.


Arizona Center for Innovation's New Cohort

The Arizona Center for Innovation has recruited a new cohort of start-ups for its 2014 Fall Mentored Launch program. The startup companies include: Sharing Tribes, iVENSEHEN, ExpertZero and GoGoKarma. The cohort will be guided through an intensive mentoring program that fosters business development, team formation, securing funding, identifying markets, and product launch with the goal of creating sustainable companies.


TLA, University Libraries Partner for Commercialization

Tech Launch Arizona has teamed up with University Libraries to create a Business Intelligence Unit, dedicated to gathering information to help researchers and faculty members make well-informed business decisions as they bring inventions to the marketplace.


BizTucson Special Section

In honor of the 20 year anniversary, Tech Parks Arizona partnered with BizTucson to develop a special section highlighting its focus on the future and how it connects the University, industry, and community to advance technology innovation and grow companies.


Henry Koffler's Magical World of Abstract Art 

At the grand age of 90, Dr. Henry Koffler, University of Arizona President Emeritus, started a new endeavor as an artist.  Tech Parks Arizona hosted the grand opening of his art exhibit "The Magical Abstract World of Henry Koffler" as part of its "Art in the Park" program. Guests are invited to view the artwork with by making a reservation by contacting (520) 621-4088.
