Progress Update on The Refinery

The first new building, named “The Refinery” because of its proximity to the university where talent and bright minds can be mined by companies, is taking shape at the UA Tech Park at The Bridges. This four-story, 120,000 square-foot office building is being developed by the Boyer Company and constructed by Core Construction. The focus right now is on the continued erection of the steel and pouring of concrete on each floor. This will continue through the last week of January 2021 when the structure should be topped off. This is when you will see the last steel beam go into place. Following this, the construction team will then begin to enclose the building. Site work continues with the installation of the reclaimed water irrigation system. The main parking lot should be paved in the new year and the landscaping throughout the parking lot will also be installed. The University of Arizona groups who will call this home, are currently working with their architect on the design with construction slated to start in the spring. The new building is on track to open in the fall of 2021.
