Tech Parks Arizona's Carol Stewart Shepherds Rapid Growth and Recruits Innovative Businesses Amid Pandemic

Profile magazine recently spotlighted Carol Stewart and how she sets the foundation for innovation in their new issue themed around disruptors. The article highlights how managing a technology park demands a certain type of individual who is comfortable dealing with the unknown. This expertise can not be achieved through formal training and Stewart, a widely recognized leader in the technology park world, has sought to find creative solutions daily in her line of work. The COVID-19 pandemic presented the Tech Parks Arizona executive with an unprecedented situation and the need to adapt quickly. Stewart jumped into action to ensure the foundation for innovation was not disrupted. Through her leadership, a strategy was developed and the organization pivoted at a rapid pace. This responsive action has helped Tech Parks Arizona to stay on track with expansion development activities and increase business development support for the 60 companies that call the park home, including nearly three dozen early-stage businesses housed at our incubator, the University of Arizona Center for Innovation.
