Women of The UA Tech Park in Honor of National Women's History Month

Tech Parks Arizona honors women of the UA Tech Park every March in celebration of National Women's History Month. This past year, more than ever has challenged the tenacity, adaptability, and spirits of all people across the country, including our community at the UA Tech Park. As we approach this new year, we see 2021 as a transformational year filled with new business tactics and a greater appreciation for the community. We have learned exactly how vital it is to uplift and empower one another. Many women have stepped up and stepped out to succeed despite trying times. We are especially honored this year to recognize these impressive women and their contributions to driving innovation forward.

 

Applied Energetics

Applied Energetics, Inc. is relocating its corporate headquarters to the UA Tech Park. The new strategic location will enable Applied Energetics to grow to the next level in their strategic plan of innovation, development, and commercialization of their proprietary technologies in the field of ultra-short pulse lasers. Our research labs and state-of-the-art cleanroom, are perfectly suited and move-in ready to align with their growth trajectory.  

 

University of Arizona Bioscience Incubator

Tech Connect magazine, published by Arizona Tech Council recently featured the University of Arizona Center for Innovation at Oro Valley. The article highlights how UACI is helping to bring bioscience discoveries to the marketplace.



 

Tech Parks Arizona Continues to Break Ground

Inside Tucson Business wrote an article highlighting that in February 2020, mere weeks before COVID brought the nation to a near halt, the University of Arizona broke ground on their Tech Park at The Bridges, a 350-acre multi-use development in southern Tucson for technology companies and the university community. The complex is intersected with roads like “Catalyst Drive” and “Innovative Street,” and though 2020 was a strenuous year The Bridges’ development remains on track. 

 

Tech Parks Arizona Supports Local Law Enforcement Foundation

Tech Parks Arizona recently supported the local law enforcement agencies with a donation. We presented a check to Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Foundation-SALEF and was selected as one of the stops on the SALEF 7 Badges Poker Run which took place on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

 

Tech Triangle Talks

As part of our ongoing collaboration with partner innovation hubs across three global regions - Arizona (USA), Quebec (Canada) and Rennes (France) - we are having engaging #TechTriangleTalks. We discussed medical innovations and quantum technologies. Tech Triangle Talks unite businesses across three global regions and provides a successful launchpad for companies to scale internationally. These discussions are also helping drive innovation forward at an accelerated pace. 

 

Barista Lee Retiring

Our beloved barista Lee is retiring from the Park café after serving coffee and attitude for 37 years. April 1 will be her last day, and no this isn’t a joke. Stop by, between 6:30 am - 1:00 pm, and say goodbye and let her know how much she is loved.
