Arizona Public Media's New Facility at UA Tech Park at The Bridges Takes Shape

Construction is progressing steadily at the new state-of-the-art Arizona Public Media (AZPM) facility, located within the UA Tech Park at The Bridges. The new, modern facility for AZPM will better serve ever-changing community needs and interests, support the education and training of University of Arizona students, improve visibility and community access, and model the transparency aspect of journalism. The new 61,500 sf facility is designed specifically to meet current and future technical and broadcast requirements to enhance media production and dissemination capabilities. Site preparation and earthwork have been completed. Currently, the foundation construction, including the erection of the framework, is underway. This facility is poised to become a key asset in advancing AZPM's mission of providing high-quality media content. With its advanced technological setup, the new hub will significantly improve both the production process and the overall viewer experience. The ongoing construction reflects AZPM's commitment to innovation and excellence in broadcasting.

iCRx Joins UA Tech Park

iCRx, a leader in eye care innovation through optic technology, announced today its move to the University of Arizona (UA) Tech Park. Their new facility includes office and laboratory space that enable cutting-edge optical research. This announcement is a milestone for the Tucson-based company as it prepares to unveil its groundbreaking One-Minute Eye Exam technology which was invented based on research developed at the University of Arizona James C. Wyant College of Optical Sciences and licensed through Tech Launch Arizona.

International Association of Science Parks (IASP)

Tech Parks Arizona team members attended the recent IASP North American Division conference hosted by McMaster Innovation Park in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The conference brought together leaders, innovators, and professionals from science parks and innovation districts across North America to explore trends, challenges, and opportunities in cluster development within the science and technology sectors. Through dynamic panels, keynote speeches, and interactive discussions, attendees enriched their understanding and engaged in knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration.

SelectUSA Conference

Tech Parks Arizona executives attended the SelectUSA Investment Summit, one of the highest profile events in the US to facilitate business investment by connecting thousands of investors, companies, economic development organizations and industry experts. Ken Marcus was part of the Arizona Commerce Authority exhibit and Carol Stewart shared valuable expertise on the panel topic ‘Joining an Accelerator or Incubator' discussing the pivotal role these organizations have in helping small & medium sized companies expand to new global markets.

Shape Your Transportation Future

Transportation Survey Pima Association of Governments invites your input on regional transportation priorities and investments. Share your transportation experiences and how the region should apply its transportation funding resources in a brief survey by July 18. Results from the survey, which is being conducted by Pima Association of Governments (PAG), will help inform development of PAG's long-range transportation plan, the 2055 Regional Mobility and Accessibility Plan.
