Construction is progressing steadily at the new state-of-the-art Arizona Public Media (AZPM) facility, located within the UA Tech Park at The Bridges. The new, modern facility for AZPM will better serve ever-changing community needs and interests, support the education and training of University of Arizona students, improve visibility and community access, and model the transparency aspect of journalism. The new 61,500 sf facility is designed specifically to meet current and future technical and broadcast requirements to enhance media production and dissemination capabilities. Site preparation and earthwork have been completed. Currently, the foundation construction, including the erection of the framework, is underway. This facility is poised to become a key asset in advancing AZPM's mission of providing high-quality media content. With its advanced technological setup, the new hub will significantly improve both the production process and the overall viewer experience. The ongoing construction reflects AZPM's commitment to innovation and excellence in broadcasting.

In 1994, the University of Arizona made a visionary move by acquiring the IBM campus and transforming it into a tech park. This initiative aimed to commercialize university-developed technologies and facilitate powerful university-industry collaborations. Today, the UA Tech Park is a dynamic campus where 6,000 knowledge workers in 100+ companies connect. The campus encompasses 1,267 acres and has 2 million square feet of tech offices, R&D, and specialized labs where innovation thrives.
