Leader of University of Arizona Tech Parks Named One Of Arizona’s Most Influential Women
Carol Stewart, Associate Vice President of Tech Parks Arizona for the University of Arizona, has been named one of the Most Influential Women in Arizona Business for 2020.
AZ Business Magazine selected 43 women from a field of more than 2,000 women under consideration to be named Most Influential Women in Arizona Business for 2020.
“I am honored by the recognition. I have been embraced by this community with open arms and feel quite humbled that my contributions over the past 18 months are being celebrated in this capacity. I am passionate about business and working collaboratively to support the success of businesses from innovative startups to tech giants,” shared Carol Stewart, Associate Vice President of Tech Parks Arizona.
Carol Stewart was selected for her work at the University of Arizona as an innovation catalyst and driver for regional economic development. She is laser-focused on university-based economic development through the recruitment of new businesses, customized business support, facilitating university connections, and supporting innovation through all stages of development.
Carol Stewart currently advances the University of Arizona’s Tech Parks. Mrs. Stewart leads the UA Tech Park at Rita Road, and is developing the UA Tech Park at The Bridges. She also serves as President of the University of Arizona Center for Innovation, a business incubator network with outposts across southern Arizona.
Stewart’s expertise in university research parks spans decades and nations. With more than 20 years of experience working with research parks, technology commercialization, business incubation, university-based economic development, governmental relations and business development, she brings a proven track record of excellence to all her endeavors.
The Most Influential Women in Arizona Business for 2020 will be featured on the cover of the July/August issue of AZ Business Magazine, along with editorial profiles inside the magazine. They will also be honored at a dinner and reception that begins at 5:30 p.m. on September 15, 2020, at Chateau Luxe.
