The Final Beam Tops Off the Refinery Building at The UA Tech Park at The Bridges

The Refinery's final steel beam took flight this month. The steel frame and concrete floors are coming to completion at The Refinery, topping off a building that will bring together innovative thinkers and accelerating world-changing inventions. The 120,000 square foot structure is the kickoff to the new UA Tech Park at The Bridges, an extension campus birthed from the success of the UA Tech Park near Interstate 10 and Rita Road. Construction at the UA Tech Park at The Bridges, just 3 miles south of the University's main campus, did not miss a beat due to the pandemic. Because of the endurance and resilience of our collaborators, The Boyer Company, Swaim Architects and Core Construction, The Refinery is set to open on schedule and on time during the fall of 2021.

UArizona Ranks High in Public Research Institutions

The University of Arizona ranks among the top 20 U.S. public research institutions, with more than $734 million in total research and development activity. The NSF analyzed more than 920 institutions nationwide, ranking University of Arizona in the top 4 percent.  

Carol Stewart Wins Entrepreneurial Spirit Award

CREW Tucson recognized Carol Stewart with the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award. She received this honor for bringing new strategies and an unconventional approach to Tech Parks Arizona. She not only has found new ways to recruit businesses amid a pandemic, she has re-imagined Tech Parks’ communities of innovation and has accelerated the purpose-built environments by intentionally constructing them to bring together all elements necessary for business success.

Wellness Wednesday

Tech Parks Arizona in collaboration with Tech Park tenants has launched Wellness Wednesdays, a health initiative that promotes being active throughout the year. The Tech Park family shares reminders to stay healthy and take the time to enjoy your day by setting a routine for your mental and physical health. Carol Stewart to Speak at Fast Pitch

Social Venture Partners (SVP) Tucson will present the 6th annual Fast Pitch Tucson event and have invited Carol Stewart to present a special message. Fast Pitch inspires and engages all of Tucson in the process of creating positive change through philanthropy. Fast Pitch was reimagined in 2021 to meet the real time needs of the community in light of the effects of 2020. Be part of this year's event which will showcase the resilience of the non-profit organizations, the community resources available to thrive, and the strength derived from community relationships.

Darling Geomatics

Meet the future - High Tech Forensics Assessments Using Drones and LiDAR. Our Tech Park tenant Darling Geomatics has teamed up with a national forensics company to provide aerial drone surveys, mapping, and LiDAR data collection to create exhibits for the accident and criminal investigations throughout the southwest USA. The 3D point cloud data and true color imagery can be used in computer modeling for accident and crime scene computer simulations as well as court exhibits.

Citi Awards Chicanos Por La Causa Inc.

Tech Park tenant Citi awarded Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) with funding to sustain their operations and support economically vulnerable households impacted by COVID-19. Chicanos Por La Causa helps individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency by providing affordable access to housing, healthcare, education, work, small business support and financing.
