Tech Parks Arizona creates interactive ground, which generates, attracts and supports technology companies and talent in alignment with the goals of the University of Arizona.

Seven new companies have joined the Arizona Center for Innovation (AzCI). Companies include: AgentSage, Edible Optics, EIOTech, EpiSci, Lightsense, My Social Sitter and EPV Sensors. AzCI is working closely with the founders of these startups to move their companies through the commercialization process to successfully launch their business. AzCI provides a structured business development program called Mentored Launch. This program assists technology companies through a series of workshops, seminars and networking events. The companies also receive individual coaching from mentors experienced in technology innovation, product development and business management.

Second Record Year for Tech Commercialization

In completing its second full year of operations, Tech Launch Arizona reports that it has achieved all of its performance goals. In direct support of the UA's Never Settle strategic plan, these metrics not only represent increases over the previous year, but also mark all-time-highs for Arizona's 21st century land-grant university.


 

Health and Wellness is Important at the UA Tech Park

There are a variety of classes offered at the UA Tech Park through its partnership with YMCA.  Tech Park employees can enjoy health and wellbeing workshops, yoga, bootcamp and Zumba on a weekly basis.

Planning Charrette for the Tech Park at the Bridges

Tech Parks Arizona just wrapped up a two-day long planning charrette for the UA Tech Park at the Bridges.  A variety of park leaders, planners, and architects came together to discuss development stages, land planning, investment opportunities, marketing and branding, and the goals of the new park.

Optum's volunteer committee has been doing a great job rallying their employees to help clean up the community around the area of the UA Tech Park in conjunction with Tucson Clean and Beautiful.


Tech Parks Team Profile

Brandon Rodgers, of PICOR | Cushman and Wakefield, has been working on behalf of the UA Tech Park since 2011 as a commercial real estate broker for the Park. He works closely with the Tech Park team in pursuing and securing new tenants in key technology sectors.


Tech Parks Arizona is part of Tech Launch Arizona, an office of integrated teams creating an ecosystem of invention and commercialization throughout Arizona and beyond. TLA generates social and economic impact through bringing the inventions of the University of Arizona from the lab to the marketplace.
